FAQ

Questions, answered

Everything parents, group leaders, and players ask before becoming Scribes.

What is The Last Scribe?

A 2D cooperative Bible adventure and quiz game. You play a time-traveling Scribe who explores Bible chapters as playable worlds, meets the people of Scripture, and earns XP through chapter quizzes. It runs in any modern browser and supports 2–6 players per level.

Is it free to play?

Yes — the complete intro story and Revelation Chapter 1 are free forever, including multiplayer, with no credit card required. A subscription ($9.99/month or $79.99/year) unlocks every other Bible world. See pricing.

How does multiplayer work?

One player starts a room and shares a code like SCRIBE-4829. Up to six players join from any device and explore the same world in real time. Quizzes trigger for the whole room, and results feed shared leaderboards.

What devices does it run on?

Any modern browser — desktop, laptop, tablet, or phone. No download, no app store. You can add it to your home screen like an app, and it saves your progress offline.

How do you keep content Biblically accurate?

Every quiz question, narration line, and dialogue passes theological validation and human admin review before players see it. Each world also ships with a verse coverage manifest tying gameplay back to chapter and verse — nothing skipped, nothing added.

Is it suitable for children?

Yes. Family-friendly by design: no violence-driven gameplay, no ads, no typed chat with strangers — ever: players communicate through a curated wheel of friendly phrases and emotes, and story chapters stay in private invite-only rooms, and no in-game purchases.

Can I cancel my subscription anytime?

Yes, in one click. You keep access until the end of your paid period, and your XP and progress are never deleted.

What denomination is it based on?

Content is built on Scripture itself as the source text. Players of any background are welcome — the worlds follow the Bible chapter by chapter.

Do I lose progress if my internet drops?

No. Saves are offline-first: progress writes to your device immediately and syncs to the cloud in the background when you're back online.

How often is new content added?

New Bible chapters and worlds ship continuously. Subscribers get every new release at no extra cost.

Still curious? Just play it.

The free chapter answers most questions better than any FAQ.
