In force from 17 October 2026.
Agreeing to these terms
The Last Scribe (Play the Bible) is a Bible adventure game played in the browser. By making an account or playing, you agree to these terms and to the privacy notice. If you do not agree, please do not use the game.
Your account
- Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what is done with your account.
- One person per account. Do not use another player's account, or try to.
- You can delete your account at any time from the game's profile settings, under "Your account".
Children under 13
A child under 13 may play only with a parent's consent, given by email as the privacy notice describes. A parent can withdraw consent or delete the account at any time. A parent who lets a child play agrees to these terms for the child.
Free play and subscriptions
- The free worlds are free forever, with no card needed.
- A subscription unlocks every world. It costs $9.99 a month or $79.99 a year (US dollars, plus any tax that applies), paid through Stripe.
- A subscription renews automatically at the end of each month or year, at the price then in force, and the card on file is charged, until you cancel. We will tell you before any price change takes effect.
- Cancel any time in the game, under "Manage billing". You keep everything you paid for until the end of the month or year already paid, and are not charged again.
- No refunds for time left. Cancelling stops the next charge; it does not refund the month or year already begun. Deleting your account cancels the subscription at once, and the time left on it is not refunded either.
- One exception: a child cannot buy a subscription until a parent confirms the account. If a payment was ever made on a child's account that no parent confirmed, and the account is deleted, that payment is refunded in full.
- If a payment fails, the subscription may be paused or ended until it is paid.
How players treat one another
Players speak only with a fixed list of kind phrases and gestures, and cannot type to each other. Even so, do not:
- choose a username that is rude, hateful, or pretends to be someone else, God, or our team;
- follow, pester or try to find out who another player is, especially a child;
- cheat: use bots, scripts or changed versions of the game, or exploit a fault instead of reporting it;
- try to reach, test or break into the game's servers or other players' accounts.
Players can block and report one another. We may rename a player, hide their name, or suspend or close an account that breaks these rules.
The game and its content
- The game, its art, music, voices and writing belong to us or to those who license them to us. You may play it; you may not copy, sell or reuse it.
- The game is written from Scripture and checked against our doctrinal rules. It is a help to studying the Bible, not a replacement for it. If anything looks wrong, tell us from inside the game.
- We may add, change or retire worlds and features. We will not take away what a current subscription was sold as without telling you first.
If something goes wrong
We work to keep the game running and safe, but it is offered as it is, and it may sometimes be unavailable. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability to you is no more than what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights the law gives you that cannot be limited.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will say so in the game or by email before the change applies. Playing after that means you accept the new terms.
